  • Talent Hunt (19th July 2013) – Every individual is gifted with some talent. Talent Hunt was organized for the fresh F.Y.B.Sc. & F.Y.B.A students. The students displayed their various talents in Art, Culture, Music, Dance & Drama. Later on this basic students are selected and encouraged to participate in various competitions held at different levels.

Talent Hunt 2014-2015: Was organized to identify talents among the first year students to represent the college in future competitions at various levels. Inter-Collegiate Saptadhara Competition among various colleges in Surat, in July 2014. Some competitions were Mehendi Competition, Book Review, Sanskrit Shlok Competition, Quiz competition and others. Aluna Competition: A number of competitions like Rangoli, Hair Styling, Arti Thali Decoration, Saree Draping, Nail Art and others. Inter-Collegiate Regional Yuva Mahotsav 2014-15: 11-09-2014 to 12-09-2014 at Shreemati Maniben M.P. Shah, Women’s College of Arts and Commerce and Shri. M.P. Shah Junior College of Arts and Commerce for Women, Matunga, Mumbai.

  1. Around 29 students participated in various activities such as fine arts, music, dance, literary events and theatre.
  2. 3 students further participated in the Grand Finale on 20th and 21st of September 2014 at Churchgate Campus, Mumbai.

Surabhi Fest 2014-15: Held on 22-12-2014 at S.N.D.T College of Arts and S.C.B College of Commerce and Science for Women in Mumbai. Reshma Singh Chauhan won 2nd price in Nail Art and also 2nd price in Rangoli Competition

  • MangalPravachan (09-07-2015):Was organized for the First Year B.A and B.Sc students. ShriKamleshThakkar and his team (EMERGE) motivated the students and also gave them useful tips for their college life ahead.

 

  • CJ Hunt by Radio Mirchi (21-07-2015):As it occurs every year, RJ Setu and RJ Veer from Radio City 91.1 FM conducted a ‘College Jockey Hunt” in our college for FY Students on 21st July ‘15. They provided the students with a stage to showcase the talent in Public speaking, Singing and Music. Rythm Jain from F.Y.B.Sc and Siddhi Parkharvala from F.Y.B.A were selected as “College Ka CJ”. They will be a part of Radio City team for a year to broadcast updates about our college activities and other news feeds.
  • Talent Hunt (24-07-2015): We at SPTMC believe that every individual is blessed with talents. So,apart from studies, we ensure that every child must get a suitable platform to exhibit their talent. Conducting “talent hunt” is an annual ritual. So this year on 24th July 2015, the Cultural Committee organized this event for the F.Y.B.Sc and F.Y.B.A. students in which they very enthusiastically performed and showcased their talents like Dance, Music, Singing, Fine arts etc.

 

  • AlunaMahotsav (29-07-2015): Every year Aluna is celebrated in the college in which several competitions are organized. This year the students enthusiastically participated in competitions such as Nail Art, Mehendi, Saree Draping, Hair Styling, Aarti thali decoration and Rangoli Making. The event was judged by the experts from respective fields and winners were given prizes.

 

  • Regional YuvaMahotsav (SNDT University) (30-08-2015—31-08-2015): The second and third year students of B.A and B.Sc actively participated in various events organised by V.T. College, Santacruz, Mumbai.

  • NavratriMahotsav (16-10-2015): The students celebrated the festival of Navratri by dancing to the tunes of Garba. The event was managed by the PG FSEM and students of the Certificate Course in Event Management.

 

  • Day Celebration (04-01-2016—09-01-2016) :Sari day, Patriotic day, Black day, Group day. Back to School Day were observed by the students very enthusiastically.

 

  • 43rdYuvakMahotsav (09-01-2016—11-01-2016) :FY students actively participated in several events organised under the 43rdYuvakMahotsav – University level held at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat.

  • Annual Day (07-02-2016): Annual Day was celebrated with great fervour. The theme for the event was ‘Cultures of India’. The students performed Drama, Dance and Songs highlighting the various cultures of the country.

 

  • Prize Distribution and Farewell (15-03-2016) :The occasion was graced by Dr.Pradip Desai, Chairman VanitaVishram as the Chief Guest. ShriHaresh Mehta and Dr.S.k. Mohanty were amongst the invited guest. The meritorious students were awarded with trophies, certificates and cash prizes from the Management. A fun filled farewell programme then followed for the Third Year and PG Diploma students.

College Ke Tashan Bazz
Red FM organized a talent hunt on Saturday 1st September 2018 at the Central Hall. For this event 36 students from BA and BSc faculties participated. The students showed a lot of enthusiasm as they showed their hidden talents in Singing, Dancing, Acting, Mono – Acting, Pantomime and mimicry.

The event was judged by RJ Setu who is a host of a prominent radio station. Finally two participants Ayushi Ankaleshwariya from FYBA English Department and Komal Rajpurohit from FYBSc Food Science and nutrition Department were selected as Red FM College ke Tashanbaaz 2018.

Ayushi Ankaleshwariya was selected for her hilarious mimicry of Daya from Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma and Komal Rajpurohit was selected for her semi classical dance performance on vahlam aavo ne. This event was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students and they were filled with gratitude for giving them this opportunity to show their talents on such a prestigious platform for Red FM College ke Tashanbaaz.

Annual Function

The Annual Function of the college is a regular feature every year.
It is celebrated every year with lots of pomp and grandeur.
It provides the students a sort of diversion from studies and fills them with joy. Simultaneously, it gives them an opportunity to showcase their talents.
This year the theme was “Samanvay – A Cascade of Folk and Fusion”. Various folk dances were performed under this theme. The entire programme was stage-managed through Bhavai performance.
It also included the detailed Annual Report of the college.

Students participated for the 46th Yuvak Mohatsav held in VNSGU.
Held on 08/02/2019 to 09/02/2019 in various competitions like Kala Yatra, Classical Dance, Group Dance, Group Song, Poetry Recitation, Mono-Acting and Short-Story Writing.

Prize Distribution-cum-Farewell Ceremony was organized by the college on 14/03/2019 in collaboration with its Alumni Association.
Mrs. Aruna Thakkar, Invited Member, SAC – Vanita Vishram and the Senior Counsellor of Help Centre, Vanita Vishramwas the Chief Guest.
Dr. Bhavin Naik, Dean, Faculty of Science and the Principal of The Patidar Gin Science College was invited as the Guest of Honour.
Students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in academics,sports, NCC, NSS, cultural activities etc. at State, National and International Levels. Faculties were also felicitated for their academic achievements.
It was followed by Farewell of T.Y. and P.G. Diploma in Dietetics Students.

Lecture Talk on Spiritualism in Life

On the 8th of August 2019 (Thursday) our college conducted a lecture talk on “Spiritualism in life” on the occasion of Rakhi celebration guest speakers were the BK sisters from the Brahmakumari Vishwa Vidhyalaya. The talk was attended by 100 students from all the respective departments.

The talk mainly concentrated on harnessing inner spiritualism through meditation and self improvement talks. Motivational courses regarding “How to imbibe the optimistic essentials in one’s life” were held. In the end, the BK sisters tied rakhi to all the teaching as well as the non-teaching staff members of the college. Overall, it was an innovative and soothing experience filled with activities nurturing inner spiritual being.

Teachers' Day Celebration

“Teacher’s have played a very significant role in every students life”

With this thought the students of FYBA had organised a small celebration in the class with all the teachers from English, Psychology, Gujarati and Hindi Department. Our dear principal  also accompanied the teachers. A short speech was given by Zahra Kunda on behalf of all the students. A cake cutting ceremony was conducted in the end. All in all the celebration was successful
