About NCC Wing
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country in being disciplined and patriotic citizens.

In 1917 when the Indian Defence Act was passed the “University Corps” was created, with the object to make-up the shortage of the defence services. The NCC came into existence on the 15th July 1948 under the NCC Act of 1948 under the Ministry of Defence.

In order to inculcate national spirit and discipline among students NCC army wing was started in college in 1986. Every year around 100 students are enrolled in NCC wing.

Lt Saroj Prajapati is serving as  NCC officer of the college.

Training

As a part of Institutional training cadets are trained in basic military aspects like Physical fitness, Drill, Map reading, weapon training etc.  Cadets are also trained in  other useful topics like body language, interview skills, group discussion etc.
Various adventurous  and social service activities  are conducted every year. Assistance to civil authorities is provided on special occasions.

Camps

The cadets are encouraged to participate in Youth Exchange Programme at International level, Republic Day Camp and All India Thal Sainik Camp at New Delhi.
Cadets can avail an opportunity to participate in Various National Integration camps, Trekking camps, Army attachment camps, firing camps, Rock climbing Training camps, Combined Annual Training camps etc.

Tenure & Certificate Exams

A senior division / senior wing cadet’s tenure is two (2) years extendable to three (2+1) years in exceptional cases only.
At college level cadets can appear for B & C certificate examinations after completion of  first and second year training respectively.

National Cadet Corps – NCC To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them constructive citizens. To build up human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all lifestyles including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service to the nation.  To create suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

Orientation Programme on 07th July 2014: Col. Manoj Bhardwaj, Co of 6 Guj Girls BN, NCC, Surat gave motivational lecture to the Students of F.Y. B.A and B.Sc. The aim of the program was to motivate students to join NCC. NCC cadets paid tribute to the martyrs of Kargil war on Kargil Vijay Divas. Cleanliness drive was carried out by NCC cadets on 2nd October and 24th September 2014. NCC cadets went to Rajpipla in the inauguration of NCC Training institution. Chief minister Smt. Anandiben Patel was the chief guest of the program. Cadets participated in the Rally on “World Peace Day” on 21st September 2014. The aim of the Rally 3)c was to spread the message of Peace. Approximately 700 Cadets from Baroda to Saputara of Baroda group appeared for ‘B’ certificate Exam on 14th and 15th March 2015, conducted by 6 Guj Girls Battalion, under the supervision of Col. Jadeja at the Sheth P.T. Mahila College premises.
