Food Exhibition 26th September 2025

As part of the TY.B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition curriculum under food product development subject, an Exhibition-cum-Sale of Innovative Food Products was organized on 26th September 2025 at Marfatia Hall, SPTMC College, Surat. The event began with a prayer to the Almighty, followed by anchoring by Tisha Malik and Riya Patel from T.Y. B.Sc., who welcomed parents, faculty, judges, and guests. They highlighted the objectives of the event and its connection to Nutritional Month celebrations.

The exhibition was then inaugurated, and students presented their food products at individual stalls, explaining ingredients, nutritional benefits, packaging, and market relevance to visitors.

The event was evaluated by esteemed judges:

  • Ms. Krisha Patel – Culinary Expert, Surat
  • Ms. Kashish Wadhwani – Wellness Studio, Surat

The prizes were sponsored by Mr. Rakesh Trivedi, Owner of Smart Solar, Surat, who encouraged students to think innovatively and consider commercialization. Products were judged based on nutrition, taste, creativity, presentation, and market feasibility. A variety of nutritious and creative food products were displayed, including Frozen Cutlets, Healthy Chocolates, Milk Mix, Crunchy Crackers, Nutritious Cookies, Healthy Chips, and more. Students effectively combined scientific formulation with consumer appeal.

The winners were:
🥇 First Prize: Ragi Cocoa Mix Milk Powder by Rafat Bhorania
🥈 Second Prize: Fiber Choco Bar by Babli Yadav
🥉 Third Prize: Moringa Chips by Rushita Patel

The exhibition received positive feedback from judges, faculty, and visitors for its creativity, taste, and presentation. The Food Product Development Exhibition-cum-Sale was a successful and enriching event that combined innovation, nutrition, and entrepreneurship.
